About

Fifteen years building on these rails. This is the first one meant for an accountant.

Ceodore is built by people who have shipped on Ethereum and Solana since the early days, and who spent that time watching genuinely useful technology fail to reach a single ordinary business.

Why this exists

Small businesses in Britain hand over between one and a half and three per cent of everything they sell, wait days to see the rest, and can still lose a payment months later to a chargeback they cannot contest.

The technology to fix that has existed for years. What has not existed is anything that makes it usable, because the hard part was never moving the money. It was everything that has to happen afterwards: the sterling value at the time of supply, the pooled cost basis, the VAT return, the line in Xero.

Nobody wanted to build that half. Crypto people find accounting boring and accounting people find crypto suspect, so the middle stayed empty. That middle is the entire product.

What we have learned the hard way

We have built payment platforms, launch tooling and merchant systems on more than one chain, and we have watched some of it disappear when the ground underneath it did.

The lesson was not that the technology was wrong. It was that anything built for an audience of enthusiasts inherits their attention span, and anything built on infrastructure you do not control inherits its mortality.

So Ceodore is built for businesses rather than for a community, on rails we do not own and cannot break, with an offline recovery tool published openly so your money never depends on this company continuing to exist.

What makes this different

Built for the regulation, not around it.

Most of this industry treats rules as an obstacle to route past. We think that is exactly why almost nothing has reached the high street. A café owner is not waiting for a clever structure. They are waiting for something their accountant will sign off.

We read the rules first and then designedNon-custodial because custody needs a licence and creates risk we do not want to carry. No swaps, no trading, no transaction fees, because each of those changes what Ceodore is in the eyes of a regulator. The architecture is the compliance position.

We built for Britain, which is harderThe UK writes some of the strictest rules in the world for this. Building to that standard is slower, and it means that when it works here it works anywhere. Section 104 pooling and VAT at the time of supply are in the product, not on a roadmap for a foreign market later.

We responded to the Bank of EnglandWhen the Bank consulted on sterling stablecoins in 2026, we wrote to them from the merchant end of the chain, which almost nobody else does. The people building the acceptance layer should be in that conversation.

We say what is not builtThere is no sterling stablecoin yet. Paying people is unfinished. The directory is short. All of that is written on this site in plain words, because you will find out anyway and it is better you hear it from us.

How we work

Four things decided early that we will not move on.

We never hold your moneyNot in a pooled account, not briefly, not for convenience. That single constraint shaped everything else, and it is why nobody can freeze, lose or be careless with your funds.

We take no cut of your salesNo percentage, no transaction fee, no spread hidden in a conversion. A flat monthly subscription is the whole of it.

No investorsBootstrapped, and intending to stay that way. Nobody is waiting on a return that has to come out of your business eventually.

In London, under UK lawServers, database and backups in the United Kingdom. Not because anything forces it, but because it is the answer your own auditors will want.

The company

Ceodore is a trading name of Echo Thirteen Capital Ltd, registered in England and Wales at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX.

Ceodore is software. It is not a bank, not a payment institution, and it never takes custody of your money or your keys.

How that works technically

Tell us what we have got wrong

The useful feedback comes from people running real businesses, not from anyone in this industry. If something here does not match how your business actually works, we would rather hear it now.
