In development. Ceodore is being built. Some of what is described here is finished, some is not, and we say which on every page.

Where we are up to
ceodore

Promotions and the directory

The customers are already in the app. Give them a reason to walk in.

Every business on Ceodore has a profile people can find, reviews that cannot be faked, gift cards and loyalty credit. The offers builder described below is in development.

Reviews

Only people who actually paid you can write one.

A review on Ceodore is tied to a payment that settled. There is no way to leave one without having bought something, which means no bought stars, no review farms, and no competitor with a grudge and five fake accounts.

You get a right of reply on every review, and a bad one from a real customer is worth more than ten invented good ones.

Your profile

Findable, on a map, with your name on it.

Opening hours, what you do, where you are, photographs, and a button to pay you without an invoice. Serve it on your own domain if you have one.

Verify your company against Companies House and the directory shows the mark. Optional, free, and it does more for a stranger's confidence than any amount of copy.

Live now

Your profile, and the two things that already bring people back.

A public Ceodore business profile with verified-purchase reviews, the merchant's reply, opening hours and verification badges.

A public profile with verified-purchase reviews, your reply beneath them, opening hours, and the Companies House and domain marks.

The Ceodore loyalty page showing closed-loop credit outstanding, who holds it, and how it was earned.

Loyalty credit, earned on the net of paid invoices. Spendable with you and nowhere else, and never cashable out.

The Ceodore gift cards page showing cards in issue, the outstanding liability, and who each was sold to.

Gift cards, with the outstanding balance carried as a liability until it is spent rather than booked as revenue on day one.

Offers — in development

Six kinds, all funded and controlled by you.

This is what we are building, and it is not finished yet. Gift cards and loyalty credit already work; the rest of the offers builder is being designed now. We will never fund a promotion or take a cut of one. You decide what it is worth, which products it applies to, when it stops, and the most it can ever cost you.

Money off

A percentage or a fixed amount, on everything, a category, or products you pick individually.

Spend and save

Five pounds off when they spend forty. The oldest trick there is, and it still works.

Credit back (live now)

Ten per cent back as credit to spend with you next time. Money that comes home. Loyalty credit works today.

First order

For customers who have never paid you before. The app knows which ones those are.

Stamp cards

Buy nine, tenth free, counted automatically from real settled purchases. No card to lose.

Gift cards (live now)

Money taken now against goods chosen later, tracked properly as a liability until it is spent.

How it will work

Every promotion has a ceiling you set.

Put twenty per cent off across the shop on a Friday and you find out what it cost on Monday. So every offer carries a budget cap, and it suspends itself the moment it reaches the number you set.

An expiry date is required, not optional. Expired offers stop showing and stop accruing on their own, rather than quietly running for two years because nobody remembered.

And it reconciles

A discount is an accounting event, not just a marketing one.

Discounts reduce the value of the sale, so VAT is calculated on what you actually charged. Credit you have promised is carried as a liability until it is redeemed, exactly like a gift card, and released to revenue if it expires unused.

Every offer has a report: issued, redeemed, still outstanding, expired, and what it brought in. You will know whether it was worth running.

Being listed costs nothing extra.

The directory, the map, the reviews, gift cards and loyalty credit are part of the plan, not an upsell. Publishing your profile is a checkbox, and the offers builder will arrive on the same terms.
